MASALAH

Masalah laptop HP PAVILLION G42 i5 ni adalah GPU AMD Radeon chipset display overheating, antara tanda-tanda kerosakkan ini adalah  LCD blank serta key Caps Lock dan Numlock blinking (ada lagi tanda yang lain). Masalah ini selalunya akan berulang samada pembaikan hanya dengan repair/reflow chipset ataupun dengan menukar chipset GPU baru.

Korang boleh belajar bagaimana nak kenal kerosakan pada Laptop Compaq-HP disini

Walaupun dengan penukaran chipset AMD Radeon baru, kebiasaanya, masalah overheating GPU akan berulang balik dan akan tetap terjadi juga (ini adalah dari kes-kes yang aku jumpa).
 

Jadi boleh aku terangkan di POST untuk kali ini, samada pembaikan hanya dengan reflow/reball/tukar chipset baru ataupun tukar motherboard AMD (secondhand atau refurbish), masalah overheating chipset tetap akan berlaku, cepat atau lambat (bergantung pada nasib owner serta penjagaan laptop) .

Ini adalah kerana HP PAVILLION G42 i5 ini walaupun telah ditukar dengan AMD RADEON GPU chipset baru atau ditukar denganmotherboard lain (secondhand atau refurbish)  pun akan masih menggunakan chipset AMD Radeon Display yang sama serta sistem cooling HeatSink yang sama, jadi masalah yang akan dihadapi oleh laptop pun akan tetap sama dan akan berulang lagi.


Biasanya solution yang terbaik serta bertahan lama untuk jangka masa lebih 2-4 tahun bagi masalah AMD Radeon chipset overheating ni adalah menukar motherboard yang bermasalah GPU itu dengan motherboard yang baru (yang betul-betul baru - berada dalam kotak lihat disini) atau convert kepada motherboard intel yang guna intel chipset sahaja, ini adalah berdasarkan pada pengalaman aku baiki masalah Laptop model ni.


Untuk masalah Laptop  HP PAVILLION G42 ini, Laptop pernah rosak sebelum ini, iaitu masalah chipset Display Overheating yang terlalu panas, lepas repair, hanya bertahan untuk beberapa bulan sahaja dan rosak balik dengan masalah yang sama iaitu masalah blank screen dan Power off dengan sendiri menunjukkan masalah chipset GPU chipset overheating berulang kembali.

Jadi, owner ambil keputusan untuk convert ke motherboard  COMPAQ CQ42 Intel HD selepas mendengar nasihat dari aku.

Untuk info, motherboard untuk Laptop HP adalah sama dengan Laptop Compaq, kerana kedua-dua brand ini datang dari company yang sama.

Untuk melakukan kerja convert motherboard yang berlainan chipset bagi laptop ini agak mudah , tak seperti kerja convert sebelum ini yang aku pernah buat untuk beberapa model laptop Compaq Lihat Sini dan Lihat Sini.Cuma untuk mendapatkan motherboard Intel chipset ini agak susah dan mencabar kerana motherboard ini jarang-jarang ada pada stock suplier.

Tapi untuk precaution, pastikan korang jika nak convert hantar pada thecnician yang biasa buat, atau jika nak buat sendiri, sila buat homework terlebih dahulu kerana takut kos akan meningkat akibat penambahan bayaran jika terlalu susah nak dapat motherboard serta untuk mengelak tersilap hardware yang perlu tukar.

Untuk kerja convert ini, hanya 1 sahaja Hardware yang perlu ditukar kerana processor serta heatsink adalah sama, iaitu:

1. Motherboard CQ42 Intel HD.

Laptop telah di test dan berada didalam keadaan baik dan sempurna.
